Director of Nursing

Oversees the standards of nursing practices for the organization's nursing services.
Works with the CMO for the development of patient care programs, policies and procedures to meet for all regulatory bodies.
Implements and maintains an effective and ongoing program to measure, monitor, assess, and improve the quality and appropriateness if nursing care, treatment, and services delivered to patient.
Provides leadership and mentoring for CAMcare Health Corporation Registered Nurses (RN's), Licensed Practical Nurses(LPN's), and Medical Assistants (MA's) and leads by example.
Responsible for knowledge of and compliance, where applicable, with regulatory or credentialing agencies such as Joint Commission (JCHAO), State and Federal agencies, and disseminates CAMcare Health Corporation and state policy and protocols to ensure uniform delivery of nursing services.
Reviews and updates all nursing care policies and procedures regularly to assure consistency with the law and practice standards. This includes establishing and implementing competencies of RN, LPN, and MA staff.
DON will be responsible for the submission of annual evaluations, clinical competencies, and annual competencies trainings, validating clinical staff's licensure/certification renewals and submitting to Human Resources
Assigns and oversees activities of the RN staff and other ancillary staff, including MA's and LPN's.
Completes the performance evaluations of Nurse Managers
Participates in departmental and interdisciplinary committees which influence or determine policies affecting nursing practice.
Provides oversight and interpretation of concurrent record review and other performance improvement activities that evaluate the effectiveness of nursing services in relation to their objectives and cost.
Collaborate with other health care providers to provide comprehensive, integrated services.
